I have a HP 4050TN printer. When I print there is a margin of about 3/4" on both the left and right sides. I would like to set it to about 1/4 - 1/2" on each side but I can't find where to do this.

I have looked in the printer menu (on the printer itself) and gone thru all the tabs on the printer in the printers folder|properties.

The large margin causes text on the right margin to be cut off, about 2-5 characters. Text that is cut off is not wrapped to the next line so info is missing. I see this mostly when I print a web page from Internet Explorer 6.

Thanks

I don't know about the margin settings (other than those provided by the application that you print from).

However--Are you sure that you are using the correct printer driver?

One issue that I see often with the 4050TN printing "off the side of the page" is driver. Specifically, the difference between the PCL5 and the PCL6 versions. Don't ask me to explain the difference, because I honostly don't know!

I hope that this helps! I am not a printer expert, I just base this on my experience!! Mudskipper

BTW, you might try posting your question on forum929. They will likely be more help than I am!! Mudskipper

We have a lot of these printers at work, and we don't use very many PCL drivers. most of them are the PS drivers
