Hp 4050 Not Printing Data on Screen

Im new to this, so if my definition of the problem us unclear, my apologies.
We currently have 8 computers connected to a Hp 4050 printer. On one of the printers, when the user selects print, much of the text is missing, or even jumbled up words appear. Ive tired installing new printer drivers, old printer drivers etc. When these are installed the problem seems to disappear for a couple of days, but then returns.
Also if i just switch the printer of for about 10 secs and switch it back on it disappears
Can anyone help??

Im sure you have found out the trouble by now, but try swapping the jet direct card.
