tells me to install new toner cartrige I did but it still wants another I have reset toner in the reset menu but no go any help would be gratefully received

Did you intall a HP cartridge,or a generic ?

You should update the printer firmware and while your at it, update Jet Direct card firmware as well.
Use Hp Download manager to do this.
