hp 40.1 mio 1 error HELP!!!!!!!

I'm recieving the above error whilsts trying to print from a '98 machine only.......NT 4.0 desktops are having now problem at all. I thought it was the way the jobs spooled but it doesnt seem to be. Is this some sort or hardware error? I was getting timeouts when pinging the ip address of the printer, i changed the port in the hub and I'm not getting any replies not but still can't print consistantly from 98 machines!

Anyone got any ideas?

Go to HP.com and in the search window put "40.1 mio" and you will get several returns and options for this problem
