HP 1220c wont network print! 1

I have a hp 1220c (a3) deskjet hooked up to an hp jet direct box, with a static ip.

It will not print from any client networked pc, or from the print test page in windows on the print server.. but it will print from the hp 1220c software on the print server printing test pages and the like.

Any ideas how I can get this working normally on the network.

The port seems fine, along with everything else.

I would start with deleting and reinstalling the printer.

But can you ping the Jetdirect box? Can you print a test page/config page from the jetdirect?

yes i can ping it and yes i can print the cofig page from the jetdirect box!

when you install it you dont install saying its a network printer...

Add a printer > Next

-Specify Local printer Without Auto Detect

Create a new port
-Drop down Standard TCP/IP port

TCP/IP printer port WIZ
Next > Type in the Ip address.. (port name will be auto)
Next > Find the correct driver
