hp 1210 won't shut down one document pending

Hi all...my first post: Prob is the printer won't shut down by pressing the off button...there is one document pending (waiting to be printed) I cannot cancel or delete it...in other words "it won't go away" I suspect that the pending document has something to do with it... what to do? thanks...regards

Have you tried unplugging the printer and leaving it unplugged for twenty seconds. This should clear the memory.

yes ...unplugging the usb cable cleared the document pending..
