Does anyone use an HP 1000 Printer in Citrix? thanks.

I spent a few hours at a customers site trying to get that to work. My final fix was ...

modifieing the WTSUPR.INF file to use the "HP LaserJet 5L" in place of the "HP LaserJet 1100"

Works fine now!!! Dave Namou, MCSE CCEA

thank you so much. Where do I find that file and what do I have to do to it?

The wtsuprn.inf file starts life as wtsuprn.txt - you will need to rename it. It is located in %systemroot%\system32.

I hope this helps

Our Citrix users use the HP LaserJet 1100 printer all of the time, the fix is to set the printer up using the HP LaserJet 4L driver.
Good Luck

If you are running Citrix XP, you shouldn't modify the wtsuprn.inf file directly at a file level... You can, and it will work, but the change you make to the file will never be reflected in the management console.

For XP, it's better to map the printer driver in the Management Console.

For Metaframe 1.8 and older, modifying the wtsuprn.inf file directly is the right way to go.

Didn't know if this concerned Siearrapeac or not... didn't specify what version of Citrix he was running...

Good point, MISAdmin - I'm guilty of assuming MF1.8 unless otherwise specified.
