Howto select TV-Out / Monitor from VB app ?

Hello Tek-Tippers.

I was wondering if it is possible to programmatically select the display output using VB - for example on my laptop I have the option of displaying to the LCD, or monitor or TV (via the composite out)

I've been developing a video playback and multimedia system and would like to be able to select where the display goes.

I don't particularly need to use any flavour of hardware so if you've got a solution that only works on one type of hardware I'd still love to hear it.

are you talking about hardware of vga card or you are telling to detect the display signal where is going ?

Hi jonybd,

I would like to make the video signal come out of the VGA output or out of the tv-out (or both depending on what the video hardware can do).

Usually I do this by going to desktop>properties>advanced>displays and then choosing monitor, panel or TV.
I want to do this in a program.
