It only display a couple of files looking at dsmschedule.log I have backed up over 2GB of space
I need to know using query backup given date and "*" to dispaly all my last night backup
could some one please reply

I am working off memory here but i believe you have to do a query filespace first to see what filespaces you've backed up, then run a query backup for each filespace with the proper options. The key with the dsmc program is always about getting the path and options right so read the baclient manual and play with it until you get what you want. You're just doing something wrong.

My initial thought is your example doesn't include the filespace. I also don't see you using the -subdir=yes and -ina=yes options which may be necessary to see the other files.

e.g. something more like (if windows):

dsmc query backup -fromdate=10/26/05 -subdir=yes -ina=yes "\\servername\\c$\*"

More info would help too.. What OS are you running?

I am using OS AIX,
Yes I know the Query filesapce will list all filespace have been backed up on TSM

but I want to know what files or dir have been backed last night and how much in size IN ONE STEP command line and without query filespace.

how about..

cat /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/dsmsched.log

?

Is there any SQL script that does this requirement without any pain.
