Does anyone here recommend "How2pass" for someone who got a 784 on the test. I've studying, I think I just need a bit more practice and hands on. I have 2 routers and plan on picking up 2 2912's,but not for another couple weeks. Or if you could recommend another site similar to how2pass, that has a similar setup but better material. I dont know, I just wanna pass =(

NahRamp2,

It does you no good to be a "paper CCNA" - it will come back and bite you on your backside :)

Do it right - do lots of hands on and understand the concepts!

If you have not read the Sybex CCNA Study Guide (5th ed) by Todd L. then get it and read it - as you go through it and he talks about something - try it on you lab!

I would also pick up 1 more router - you can get a 2501 with 16 DRAM and 16 FLASH for about $30 on eBay - with 3 routers you should be able to practice ANYTHING that they throw at you on the CCNA!

3 routers and 2 switches make a great CCNA lab !

Good luck!

NahRamp2,

Let me be very clear since I have never worked with "How 2 Pass" .

If it is a legit testing software - and I am sure others will voice opinions on that then what you want to do is use it to see what you need to work on - not just learn the questions.

Study the material, do the labs and then take the practice test - TO SEE WHERE YOU NEED TO STUDY MORE!!

Keep doing this until you are passing the exams with 95% - just make sure that you are not just memorizing a bunch of questions.

Study - hands on labs - testing - study - hands on labs - testing ................

Good luck!

Hey CiscoGuy33...How2Pass in my opinion is legit---they have sample questions that are very much like how Cisco asks them, along with very good detailed explanations. They are not screenshots with no explanations, like Pass4Sure or Testking.
I do concur, however, on hands-on experience with routers and switches. You will not know what the explanations are saying unless you know the concepts.

Burt,

Thanks, it is so hard to keep up with which are "braindumps" and which are not!

As we all have echoed here - it is so important to understand the material and do hands-on labs to get that understanding.

Then, thats when you use a good, LEGIT test engine to see where you stand with the understanding.

From what I've seen, the legit exam engines are:
Boson
How 2 Pass
Self Test Software
Preplogic

Personally, I've been really liking the cd's that come with the ciscopress books themselves as a better gauge on where I'm at and what I need to study more.

I've been playing with the how to pass site all day today and it seems worth the money. There is no way you can memorize the answers from this site, then take the test, and expect to pass at all. This has excellent review material, but i'm still looking through the router sims to see if i find any fault with them. So far, worth the $

Now THAT's a braindump site---worse, actually...just screen shots of test questions.

I used How2Pass to pass the ICND exam this week. I feel it is a legit product. You certainly can't just memorize every answer. How2Pass offers clear explanations as to why an answer is right or wrong. Of course How2Pass was just 1 tool as everyone else here as mentioned. Fortunately, I have a few routers here at work that I have access to. How2Pass has a decent router sim also to give you some hands on. I don't post here often, but I do read the posts and that was also a huge help in passing. Posters like burtsbees and CiscoGuy33 offer some valuable information. Thanks guys.

pgaliardo,

You are most welcome!!

Thanks for the comments :)

Congrats on passing the ICND exam!
