How would i do this

i wont be actually using this image but how does one convert this:

into a simplified, yet effective image to be placed on a flyer design like this:

Depending on your version of PSP, you could use the Trace Contour Tool, on the image, and the overlay it with then original picture in a "Dodge" type blend. With the original pic being slightly transparent.

Or Just use any of the artistic filters, such as Chalk to get a similar level of detail.

hm,mm, i'm using psp 8 but i cannot find the trace contour tool, where is it???

The Trace Contour tool is in the Effects menu, under Edge Effects. the last option is Trace Contour. However I'm not sure how well it will work in PSP8. I used PSP9 for the example based on your picture. So it might not be exactly the same if the picture is say more reflective but you should get the idea in any case.

1. Reduce image colors to 2 (Image/Decrease Color Depth/2
Colors 1 bit)
2. Create a new Raster Layer (Layers/New Raster Layer)
3. Fill the new raster layer with the color of your choice.
4. Experiment with different Blend Modes from the drop down list in the Layers Palette. I found Hard Light the best match, but you might prefer another option.

I'm very sorry. I've just realised I missed a line out of the instructions. :-(

2. Increase image color depth to 16 million (Image/Increase Color Depth/16 million colors 24 bit)
3. Create a new Raster Layer (Layers/New Raster Layer)
4. Fill the new raster layer with the color of your choice.
5. Experiment with different Blend Modes from the drop down list in the Layers Palette. I found Hard Light the best match, but you might prefer another option.
