HI ... am looking for a way to code VB6 to close a popup window (IE 5.0+) with the webbrowser control.

I found my own answer after doing some extensive research through previous inquiries here on tek-tips ... my thanx to:

In the WebBrowser_NewWindow2 event, set cancel to true. This works for IE5, not sure about IE4, as I don't have access to a system with IE4.

If your looking to make a web surfing tool that won't allow pop-ups, you've been beten to it. There is a freeware program called webwasher, you can configure it to stop cookies, or stop pop-ups and some other useful tools.

Why re-invent the wheel, but sometimes it's fun to tinker anyway. Just thought you might want to know. Craig, mailto:sander@cogeco.ca
