Is there a way to look at the MS Project when user is not having MSP software?
I tried various options under the “Copy Picture”. One can view easily by using these options, in smaller portions. If one wishes to take a print-out of the same, the MS Photo editor/Word/Excel making the whole project get compressed into one page and there by making it difficult to read the print-out.

The total size of the Project is 14 000 KB (about 21 pages views).

Does Microsoft offers free download of MS Project Viewer (Just for viewing purpose only)?

I do not want to use other options like saving under Web.

Alternatively, I tried with options under XL, Paste picture with (enhanced metafile). It worked. Wondering are there any other alternatives for the same.

I would appreciate for all your easy tips J

Thanks

You don't say what data you want to display. You don't say how you want it displayed. You don't say how you want to use the data.

You have the following possiblities.

1. There are no free viewers from Microsoft so you will have to purchase a 3rd party viewer (or write one yourself).

2. You can implement Project Server and distribute CALs to appropriate personnel.

3. You can export the data to Excel using built in functionality or by writing your own vba routines.

4. You can use Visio to open the file.

I'm sure there are others. Good luck in your search for a solution appropriate to your needs.

Thanks for the tips:

1. You don't say what data you want to display.
It just ID, TaskName,StartDate, EndDate, %, ResourcesName

2. You don't say how you want it displayed.
I want to get it dispalyed exactly the way how it gets displayed in the MS project (mirror copy).

3. You don't say how you want to use the data.

This is just a view only and end user should able to take a print-out without loosing the displayed data.

Hope this would give you more clarification on my requirement.

Please let me know in case you have any other questions.

thanks

siri :)

Have you tried printing the information to a .PDF file? There is a free .PDF "printer" driver that you can use to print reports to .PDF files. You can then e-mail them to interested parties and they can either view on screen (and zoom in/out) or print it from the document:
