How to view a Report on my Laptop

In order to view a report I need to attach my Laptop to a printer (or network with a printer) and switch the printer on. Is this really necessary? I can't do my work on the road if this is the case. How can I overcome this problem?

Just make sure you have an "installed" printer on your laptop. This will allow you to preview/design reports. I have a laptop I travel with and installed USB printer on. But the printer does not travel with me and I can still view and edit reports.

Alternatively, set up a printer (any one will do that you already have the drivers for on your laptop - I use HP Laserjet 4) - but set it to print to File....fools Access into thinking that you have a printer installed and working
