Hi experts, i have three tables.. namely SMS, TRANSACTION and MODULE…

All these three table have idnum field which is related to each other…

How will i use UPDATE so that when a certain idnum is changed in SMS, vfp should also update all idnum in TRANSACTION and MODULE?

I hope i have explained well my problem…

Thanks in advance…

Why would I replace the VFP9 RI builder with an older version?

Because these RI builders hae features the VFP9 RI builder does not have. Even in its newest version, like allowing NULL as exception value for a foreign key.
IIRC, but I am not 100% sure about this. AMRI was designed to be usable with third party access of the DBFs via MS ODBC driver, while the VFP9 native RI builder code is not fully ODBC compatible as the MS ODBC driver -like MS oledb provider - does not support 100% of the VFP language.

Well, and last not least there are performance differences. Notice that VFP9 is newer, but the Ri builder code of VFP9 hasn't changed since older versions, at least not in any essential way, so your time comparison is about older native code anyway.
