Is it possible to setup my PC so that I can use my USB Headset and still have sound come out of my speakers? When my USB Headset is plugged in I only get sound out of the headset and not the speakers. To get sound out of the speakers I must unplug the USB Headset.

Usually, there are just three connections for sound: Line Out, Line In and Mic In. Are you plugging the headset into the Line Out?

Assuming that your PC has a CD or DVD Drive, you could plug you headset directly into the headphone socket on that device which usually has its own volume control. This will leave the Line Out socket free for the speakers.

Sorry, I missed the USB (green on a blue background - not a colour-friendly combination!).

So when the USB headset is plugged in, the sound to the speakers (presumably through the sound card Line Out jack) is muted? Is there not an option in the USB headet driver to enable/disable the Line Out when the headset is connected?

Regards: tf1

You might want to check your sound software for a muting control. My Audigy has this option, and it drove me crazy until I found out about the control.
