How to use keyboard to select check box

Is there a way to use keyboard to select the check box on form? If possible it will save a lot time for the data entry.

Just to add to this:

The checkbox has to have the focus first before you press the space bar. Put the checkbox in the correct tab order and tab to it, press the space bar and voila! :)
