We recently went though layoffs and our CEO now has a new assistant who works at a different desk. Since moving the phone to a new TN is not an option (LONG story), I'm trying to set up the new phone with the two-way intercom.
The old phone is configured on key 6:
hot d 4 5214 5213 marp v 0
When I go to type exactly that in the new phone, it errors out when I type 5213. I'm familiar with using hotline to use it as a direct dial to a phone number, extension, or the pager; but this one escapes me.
The desired result is (1) Push Hotline (2) Talk.
I tried to see if creating an intercom group would be suitable, (programmed a key 05 DIG 3 0 / Key 05 DIG 3 2 sequence) but the CEO didn't like having to remember the station number.
