Hi all,

When I send a fax, I would like to use a BRI line.

I have got a small Office with 4 BRI lines (Line Group Id 0) and 1 analog line (Line Group Id 1).
I use my analog line as often as possible because there is no cost for calls on this line. If it is in used, the following calls should use BRI lines until the analog line become usable again.
But with this line, I can't send fax.

Here is what I have put in shortcodes.

System Shortcodes :
Code : ?
Telephone number : .
Feature : Dial
Line Group Id : 1
This shortcode is to used the analog line each time it is possible.

User Shortcodes (Fax):
Code : ?
Telephone number : .
Feature : Dial
Line Group Id : 0
This shortcode is to used the fax with the BRI line.

Least Cost Route - Main Route Shortcodes :
Code : ?
Telephone number : .
Feature : Dial
Line Group Id : 1
This shortcode is to used the analog line each time it is possible.

Least Cost Route - Alternate Route 1 Shortcodes :
Code : ?
Telephone number : .
Feature : Dial
Line Group Id : 0
This shortcode is to used the BRI line when analog line is in use.

When I read the documentation, the hign level of the shortcodes is the user one.
So, I don't understand why the fax I send uses the analog line ?

Thanks for your help

For the fax use a user shortcode like:

0N
N
0
Dail

or

9N
N
0
Dail

Or make a user restriction table for the fax with the shortcode ?/./Dial on line group 0 and delete the user shortcode.

Thank you big70 and intrigant.
I have tried your solutions but I still have the same problem.
All my calls take the analog line then BRI lines.
Other ideas ?

Are you sure your anloge lines are in outgoing group 1 and
you bri in group 0.

Make a shortcode on the fax with a full lenght number
0104573647
0104573647
0
Dail

If it don,t go over group 0 you can see in callstatus.
Then there is a other problem and you must check you config.

LCR shortcodes are applied to any dialled number that is not an extension. This is done after user/user restriction/system shortcodes have been applied. You could try the following:

Fax user shortcode:
s/c: ?
Tel no: 121.
Feature: Dial
Line group: 0

Add this to the main route for your LCR:
s/c: 121N
Tel no: N
Feature: Dial
Line group: 0

Thanks big70 and Latitude12

big70 sorry but it still not work.
