Good Morning -

I am working on a Crystal report that uses a TTX file as its data source. The user is requesting the a new field be added to a report. I can edit the TTX file to include the placeholder for the new field, but no data is returned when I run the report. How do I associate the new field to the data so that it shows up in the report? I am not familiar with TTX files (obviously) and need some assistance understanding how they work. Thanks for any help.

Did you verify the database (Database, Verify Database) after the new field was added to the TTX file? I have not worked with TTX as a data source, but I have used Excel. I am assuming it is working on the same principal that the first row has the field names.

Thank you for responding. I saw some information about verifying the database and will certainly try that. I realize that this is probably a very basic question, but I do not understand how the TTX files function. How are they associated with the data? For instance, I have a TTX file called supplies.ttx that is the data source for my report. The customer wants to add a field to capture product type of each supply. I can open the TTX file, add the new field called "ProductType", give it a type (string) and a length (10). How does the program know what field to return when the report is run. I would expect some method of linking the field to data within the application and this is the part I am not understanding. I've only ever used tables, SQL commands, and stored procedures as data source, so this has me stumped. Thank in advance.
