Hi,
I haven't done an upgrade with Avaya IP Office before, and can't find any docs on exactly how it is done, I guess that's because each setup is different.
Anyway, my setup is moving from firmware v4.0.7 to the latest Q1 2008 release.
From what I have read I think the procedure is:
1) Backup the existing config.
2) Run the ADMIN CD which will auto detect the existing installation and run an upgrade.
3) Start the Manager program and run the UpgradeWiz which will show the existing and new firmware available. Run the upgrade.
4) Run the VOICEMAILPRO CD which will again auto upgrade the existing installation.
5) Run the USER CD on the clients to upgrade the Phone Manager Pro installation.
I presume the Delta server software is upgraded as part of the ADMIN CD upgrade?
I hope I haven't oversimplified this, please let me know if there is something I have missed or overlooked, or if there is some config which will be overwritten and needs restoring etc.
Many thanks in advance.
