I would like to upgade all my Merlin Legends to R7. I have no clue how to do this. I use SPM software and have a backup card. Please help in a list of steps.

You would need to purchase a forced upgrade card.
Download the current translations to your PC.
Use WinSPM to convert them to R7.
Use the upgrade card to bring the processor up to R7.
Load the converted translations back into the processor.

Since I have a R7 in stock.
Can i convert the R6 file to R7 using WinSPM
and then upload to R7 without purchasing a forced upgrade card? If I do buy a forced upgrade card can I use it more then once for all my lower release processors?

Yup, just load the translations into your existing R7 processor.
