How to update Scroll Area label programmatically?

Never came across a way or a person who was able to do this. I have spent many hours screwing around trying to get it to work. There may be soneone who can use a non people code method to achieve this but we are limited to the delibvered peoplesot development tools. You can NOT address this part of a scroll area like a grid. The only option I have ever used is to add a couple of fields with text in them to represent the lables and then use peoplecode to show/hide the appropriate field
