Hello,
i'm searching if it is possible to update a MSSQL cube
by using code (visual basic,.....) or something as MDX queries!!!!!!

Thanks a lot

Hello,
You could create a Data Transformation Package in SQL Server 7.0 or 2000, and then schedule it to rebuild the package.
HOwever, you must install Analysis Services on the SQL Server so that the Task Object CUBE appears in the list of tasks you set up.

I have used DTS as it is called to rebuild an entire OLAP database, and then as a final step, rebuild the CUBE. It was for a customer that wanted weekly(only) refreshes of the fact table.
Its easy try it !

probably too late to help you but I just joined the list...you can do anything you want with a cube or dimensions with Decision Support Objects (DSO)..search Books On Line and MSDN for info...
hth,
Michael
