How to unused Remove Wireless Network Connections

I have an XP Pro Laptop that over the years has collected nearly 20 different wireless connections. I would like to remove those entries to aid in troubleshooting an Avaya Wireless card that refuses to see any wireless signals. If anyone has any experience with Avaya wireless cards I would appreciate your input as their customer service really sucks.

Sometimes:

It is very strongly urged that you do not manually remove them. They have nothing to do with your problems.

You can, in Safe Mode as Administrator, go to Device Manager, View, Show all Hidden Devices, and see if there are any grey-ed out network adapters and remove them.

But you are barking up the wrong tree looking at removing the older connection GUIDs as a source of your problems.
