How to uninstall Macromedia Flashplayer 5 2

There is NOTHING more annoying than banners taken to this new low level like trucks or airplanes noisily popping up and zooming across my sports page. And nothing makes me leave a site faster.

But I can't seem to find it to remove it unless it's also known as Shockwave.

Experienced insight will be grrrreatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
