I was organizing my system and deleted few files from command prompt. Now I want a particular file back. Is it possible to undelete or recover that file? Is there any trick or tool available? All this happened on a NTFS partition.

Any help from anybody will be appreciated:)

Thanks,
Mark

Since it was a DOS command it would've bypassed your "Recycle Bin". So unless you have a backup copy it is gone. You can probably have the data recovered from the shadow on the hard drive, but I doubt you'd want to spend the money. Sorry

The best utility i've found is R-studio

its about $80 but well worth it, will recover from FAT, NTFS and ext2 filesystems. Also there's a demo version that will let you know if your files are recoverable but will only let you undelete files less than about 32k big i think.
anyways, well worth a look
