I have a Merlin Legend with an unsupported conversant voice mail system(486). I need to temporally turn off the auto attendant. I need all calls coming in on our T1 to go directly to the operator’s terminal (ext 100). We have a plain T1 going to a DS100 card. The T1 is passing 808 as the digits. Right now the operator’s terminal is set up so each trunk will ring on a button.

I tried removing the voice mail extensions from the 770 group. When I did this, any call coming in was busy. Is there any way I can get the calls coming in on the T1 to ring directly to the operator’s terminal? ( I know there is a way I had it set up like that but I can not find my notes!!!!)

Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like you had either an adjunct or calling group numbered as 808 to match the digits being sent, and directed that to the voice mail. You could renumber the console as 808 and the calls will ring in to the SA buttons (might need to add more), or if it was a calling group overflowing to 770, redirect the overflow to the console.

ahh.. So if I want to pass calls directly to an extension, All I need to do is renumber one of the operators terminal to 808? I dont have access to our phone system right now. I would have to free up 808 right? I think it is set up as an adjunct. I will give it a try.

Thanks
