Hi All,

New to the forum, looks good!

I have a few users on a network who receive print notifications when other people print to networked printers. I'm sure I have turned these notifications off in the past, but can't figure out how to do it now. Server is NT4 and printers are various models of HP laserjet various (Jetadmin is on the server).

Any ideas will be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

Phil

You have to switch off the messaging service on each computer. It can be located at:

Control Panel -> Services -> Messenger

(I think its this anyway). Just switch this off. The only thing is switching this off also switches off net-sends.

The correct way to resolve this is on NT Server is to go to:

control panel>printers>file>server properties>Advanced tab>
diable remote print notifications
