First of all, I am an AVAYA tech and no nothing of the Nortel Systems.
My problem is that one of my customers bought a Chevy Dealership that came with a 2-year-old Nortel BCM50. They just moved in and need to turn off the Auto Attendant that has all the info of the last owners. Can anyone hlep with that?

FYI:They are going to replace the BCM with their Ayava IPO so they can connect to all their other dealerships.

I appreciate any help.

Assuming you have logon info

Login to CP Manager - Goto Auto Attendant - turnoff ringing on the required lines

(You can logon to the BCM internal webserver and access the docs)

The BCM is not connected to a computer and they left no software. I might have mentioned that before. Sorry.

I called AT&T, since they installed it. They said they will send out a tech on the 12th. This issue cant wait that long, and there isn;t a nortel tech in that area, as far as I know.

If the system is version 2.0 (which may be hard if it's 2 years old). You can also access the config through the telephone.

If you have a telephone available with 3 buttons below the display, try pressing
FEATURE **266344(config)
Try 738662 as the username (setnna)
and 266344 as the password (config).

If that allows you to log in, then I'll show you how to change the settings.

You will need to try this command on a phone that is a T7316, T7316E, M7324, M7310, i2004, 1140e model phone.

(sorry for the numerous responses).

Do you have a desktop or laptop available? If so, plug a network cable in from your computer to the OAM port on the BCM50 (the left-most network jack on the cabinet, right beside the power supply).

Your computer should receive a 10.10.10.x address

Try accessing
When it asks for a username and password, try:
User name: nnadmin
Password: PlsChgMe!

(I'm pretty sure the OAM port provides a 10.10.10.x address... if it is 10.10.11.x, then just change the URL I mentioned above)

If you have no access, they either have to deal with it, or unplug the thing.

From a t7316e or M7310 phone, do feature 982 then enter the password "67372867"(operator) and press next twice and set option "answer lines:" to N.

These are some great suggestions. Especially yours Johnthephoneguy, you get a star for that one.
Anyway, I will give this a try and let you all know how it turned out.

The Star didn't work for johnthephoneguy.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

gberger deserves the star, he gave the correct answer that avoids using the laptop.
