Hi guys,

I would like to create a script to trigger control M job if "wanted" file arrived.

I used to hear that control M has function file's watch, but I don't know how to use it.

or maybe I was thinking I can trigger control M from linux ?

Do you guys have any idea of those ways ? or any other solution ?

You have two different solutions:

- First you can submit ControlM commands if your file xfer is done by a script or a file transfer monitor.

- Secondly you can also run control M on linux. I'me running CTM agents on linux for few years

I used to hear that control M has function file's watch, but I don't know how to use it.

I believe you can create a Control M job with the following as a command:
CTMFW /path/to/filename

This will watch for filename in /path/to on the server you have it pointing to. Then this job could be setup as an in condition to JobB.

HTH,
Bill

Thx bajjer31,

do you know any documentation using Control M, coz I'm still new using it.

Thx man.

I'm pretty new, too, but I'm learning :) You can find all the documentation you can handle on the BMC site. Scroll down for the Control-M stuff:

The best ones are:
CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager
CONTROL-M/Server for *
CONTROL-M/Desktop

There's also a command reference guide, I'll see if I can't scratch that up tomorrow!

Hi bajjer31,

Thx for your clue, but I need to check my file using script whether it is ok.

So what I need is whether how to put condition in JobB, so if it's ok continue to JobC but if it's not go back to jobA.

Is there any idea of this ? or any other guys ?

Thanks,
