Please forgive me if this is not the correct forum but I am not very familiar with XML.

I need a way to print invoices from xml data that is exported from an application. The form layout is static but there are many variables on each invoice. For example names, number of lines, comments, etc.

How can I find software that would allow me to "map" the xml fields onto positions on the pre-printed form?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It depends entirely on what the pre-printed form is. If XML (or HTML), look into XSLT.

XSLT can also do text files, which opens up the possibility of RTF.
