I'm testing VMpro inside application server v7
It seems all ok,
How can i transfer all my wavs files into this new installation ??

I have tried with winSCP (via ssh defult user/pass)
I can access path but I'm not allowed to write files into VM directory

Any other idea ?

thanks

Use Putty to chmod the Wavs folder so you have permission. Search this forum there are guides for doing just that.

Just Putty login as administrator and chmod folder ?
Simpler than one can think....

Thank you

Or put your recordings in the CustomPrompts directory which ha the correct permissions already & is where Avaya intend them to be (although historically no one did - not even avayay's examples)

Actually it makes sense as it is easier to backup these recordings

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

As IPGuru says CustomPrompts is the directory to use and requires no permission fiddling.

Placing files in other places can cause them to be deleted in an upgrade.
For example storing files in the language directories will do that.

I have done dozens of upgrades and never lost a wav file... a re-install is a different story, that will erase all files in the folders.

Well, I just lost all files in an IVR during an upgrade since another tech had stored them there so it's up to everyone what they do with that information.

Although it was a Server Edition so might act differently on AppServer.
