can a conference call created on one extension be transfered to another extension?
System is MICS 6.1 with PRI lines

thanks in advance

You should be able to just press the preprogramed transfer button or dial feature 70 then the ext. # and hang up.
Disclamer as allways I caould be wrong.

That will not work. Feature 70 or Transfer is used to disconnect yourself from the conference call.

Thanks anyway

have u tried parking the call and grabbing it from the other phone? not sure if it'll work but it's something to try.

Why not just conference call the person you want to transfer to, and then back out yourself from the call?

To remove yourself from a conference permanently (unsupervised conference):
Press FEATURE 70.
The other two callers remain connected. (Some external lines may not support this feature.)
To put a conference on hold:
Press HOLD. The other two callers can still talk to each other, but they will hear your music on hold for the duration of the call being on hold.
To split a conference:
Press the line or intercom button of one caller to consult privately while the other caller is on hold.
Note: This feature is not available for multi-party conference calls.
To re-establish the conference: Press FEATURE 3.
To disconnect one party:
1. Press the line or intercom button for the caller you want to disconnect.
2. Press RLS.
3. Press the line or intercom button to resume your conversation with the other caller.
To independently hold two calls:
1. Press the line or intercom button of the first caller.
2. Press HOLD. The second caller is automatically put on hold.
Note: This feature is not available for multi-party conference calls.
To re-establish the conference:
1. Retrieve one call from hold.
2. Press FEATURE 3.
3. Retrieve the second call from hold.

Yeah...so it's not possible what I want. This are lawyers and for some reason can't be asked to press too many buttons. They want the assistant to create a conference call let's say on extension 3400 (the assistant's extension) and then transfer the conference to the lawyer's extension 4302. The lawyers wants to just pick-up the transfered call/conference. I can't believe Nortel didn't think about this scenario....and now the lawyer needs to push extra buttons to do a conference call on his phone.

Thank you
