how to swicth DND from another extention 1

is there a way of switching DND for extention 201 from extention 202 without using phone manager.

i would like a simple shortcode something on the lines of

*55*N# DoNotDistrubOn
*56*N# DoNotDistrubOff

where N is the extention number to be switched.

i have tried the above shortcode format and it did not work for the extention number entered just my own extention.

do you have vm password for extensions you want to access? Or at least get them? You can do what you are trying to accomplish through vm pro if you can.

my boss has the list of pswds, it is he who wants to be able to change the dnd state of an ext.
i have tried through vmpro but with not success, if you could pm/post the solution that would be great thanks.

Hi all,

you can do it through SoftConsole, great soft.
With it, you'll be able to switch DND state and Forward states of all extensions on the PBX.
Very simple of use.

Through vm pro:

Set up a module 'DNDSET'

Get a 'menu' and set up ??? in touch tones

Get a 'Play Configuration Menu' with $KEY in the mailbox field of the specific tab.

Connect from start to menu to Play Config Menu, save and make live.

Create a short code:
SC: #1
TN: "DNDSET"
line: 0
Feat: VMCollect


dial short code #1, then extension number, then passcode, then 5, then 1 to set dnd on or 2 for dnd off for that extension.

But I agree that softconsole that Nic put up is the easiest and fastest way.
