We are using CR v8.0.1.
We have a report which contains multiple subreports. In the one subreport, I have 2 group headers. Header 1 contains a formula which allows me to print the heading of this subreport on multiple pages, if the subreport span multiple pages.
Header 2 is grouped on a database field VW_Process.Operation.
I would like for the details section of this report to be supressed if data is not for another database field.

How would I accomplish this?

Thanks

Are you asking how to suppress? That's right-click on the field and choose Format Field. Choose the [Common] tab, and then the formula icon (x+2 and a pencil) for suppression. Enter a formula.

If it's something else, please say what.

More specifically how to suppress based on a database field or a formula within CR.

many thanks

Something like Insull({your.value})

If you are just trying to suppress the info in the subreport when there is no matching record in the main report, link it by the common field.

Thanks everyone.
I used a formula in the Section Expert that checks to see if the field isNull, just like Madawc explained.

Thanks!
