In MS Word 2003, I'm writing a document that involves linking to two Excel spreadsheets.
\\bp1ldcvi012\darren$\WORK\Migration\Apps.xls
\\bp1ldcvi012\MISC2\Apps Support Team\Middle Office\_General\Supported Apps.xls
These links work as I create them (I can ctrl-click them and the spreadsheets open)
BUT - when I save the document, the second link's underlying hyperlink changes to relative:
../../MISC2/Apps%20Support%20Team/Middle%20Office/_General/Supported%20Apps.xls
and it's that "../../" that breaks things - when I ctrl-click the link that Word's changed it to on saving, I get "The address of this site is not valid."
How can I stop Word from persisting in changing my absolute hyperlinks into relative hyperlinks?
