looks like you are trying to login to the CTY (CDR) port. Do you have another TTY you can connect to?

Guess I overlooked that part...good catch GHTROUT.

You need to go to LD 15 and remove port 1 from the CDR section.

Here is an example once logged in on how it's done below to remove CDR from TTY 2.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

thank you how do you start it back up

Put the port back in where you took it out in LD 15.

Sorry but as i siad im new to this. Can someone send me an ex of changing buttons on ext in LD 20

What model phone are you changing and do you know what you want to change?

2616 and im trying to add and change ext's on phones

If you can post a TNB of a phone you are trying to change, it will help some. Do you know if you have MARP active?
LD 22

PRT
PARM

This is important if you have exts. that appear on multiple phones.

Do you understand how to count the Keys on the phone? Ex: key 0 is bottom right, key 15 is Top Left.

What type of PBX? 11C or 81C, etc/.

OK, I guess you know how to read your TNs since you are doing good at the other stuff....but just in case....
Option 11 ex: TN 04 0 0 10
You only use 04 10 when making a change....

LD 20

REQ CHG
TYPE 2616
TN (TN of phone you are changing)
ECHG YES
ITEM what it is that you are changing.....

(ex: if you want to change Key 0 to be x2000 and have it ring - at ITEM you would enter KEY 0 SCR 2000 and press enter; if this is the 1st phone to have this ext, it will say MARP and then CPND. To enter name for this extension put YES at CPND and enter or CHG to change the name. Enter will get you to where you can enter name. press enter and KEY will come up again in case you want to change another KEY. Press ENTER and ITEM will come up so you could change something else like NCOS, HUNT, Etc. Press ENTER one more time and you will be back at REQ and you change is complete.

I don't have an example handy that I can post but this should get you what you need for now.
