How to sort while tail -f ?? 1

Hi,
How do I tail -f and sort ? It seems that tail -f|sort will hang.

Sort by date Sort by votes
It's difficult to sort something when it is incomplete
tail -f is a continuous process so sort ever sees the end-of-file which will trigger the actual sorting
