how to snapshot locks and tablespaces

can any one tell me the syntax of db2 snapshot locks and tablespaces.

i am finding it difficult to understand the command syntax in info center

get snapshot for locks on ......

get snapshot for tablespaces on ....

where .... is alias for database


You may need to change the value of your databse management config parameters to get the snapshot. These will need a db2stop and db2start to take effect.

Another useful command is

get monitor switches

or

get dbm monitor switches

what is the difference between db and dbm when u use for commands?

DB is database

DBM is database manager (ie/ instance)

There are various config parameters and monitor switches that apply to each of those 2 objects....
