I don't have mainframe connectivity yet, but would like to start developing screen scraping in advance. I have seen attachmate demo files that simulate a "fake" 3270 session, but could not figure out how to create my own.

Can anyone help with this, or point me in the right direction?

I'm working on an article on this subject, and would be happy to send copies to anyone who would like to read it.

Attachemate has a demo host built in. Under connection function you can tell the connection type to be demo and then it gives you options to choose the type. I would be very interested in your article once completed, as I am a developer that has built an OCX that communicates with over 50 emualtors by screen scraping.

I also interested in creating Demo session's with my own data screens so I could program macros while away from a mainframe connection on my laptop.
I tried manually editing the demo data file that extra comes with but unfortunelly I wasn't able to see my changes when running the demo.
If anyone has information on setting up there own demo please let me know.
I believe attachmate has a program that is a demo session creater by don't remember what it was. Might have been E-advantage.
