How to simplify and disable logon security 1

Hello friends,

I am a home user with no network and no need for logon security. At my request, my computer was installed with a direct-to-welcome-screen startup. Then after installing some new software (upgrade WordPerfect V.9 to V.12), I started getting a logon at both startup and with screen saver. I have tried to get rid of it and have just gotten myself into trouble cuz I really don't understand all this business about accounts, administrator, etc. (Got locked out yesterday, and don't even understand how I got back in.) I never had a password before, and don't want one now.

How can I get my system back to the simple good-ole days?
