Hello,

I've been playing with Crystal for a week.
I haven't been able to find the answer to my question:
I am using CR 9. I have a report with a few groups and I would like one of the groups to be hidden and when I drill down, instead of going into the item I'm drilling down on, I want all the hidden data of this group to show up. I hope I'm making myself clear enough ;-)

Example:
CR-1.................... 10,000$
CR-2.................... 10,000$
=> then on drill down (if you call that a drill-down)
CR-1.................... 10,000$
CR-1-23.............. 8,000$
CR-1-24.............. 2,000$
CR-2.................... 10,000$
CR-2-23.............. 8,000$
CR-2-24.............. 2,000$

I want group2 to be hidden first and then when I drill down in group2, I want all group2 to show up on the same report as it show above

Thanks a lot for those who can help (and those who can't for trying ;-)

Seb

You could create an unlinked, on-demand subreport to place in the report header or footer which has the same record select statement as your main report. Name it "Yes" and then add a text box which says "Show details?" Then suppress the details in the main report.

Another approach would be to create a parameter which asks the user whether they want to see a summary or detail report, and then use the parameter to conditionally suppress sections, using:

{?Report Level} = "Summary"

Thanks lbass.

It's very efficient, and I think I will use this thing a lot.
