I run Outlook on my desktop, and want to share the addressbook, calendar, etc with my portable. How?

Thanks,
Gregory Guthrie

Depends of you want the info to be replicated on the laptop, or just available when you're at home/in office.

A guess here - I've never tried it, and might depend on Outlook version.

1. Access outlook data at home/office:

If you've got your desktop and laptop connected, you should be able to map a drive on the laptop to the drive on the desktop.

You should be able to add a personal folders service to Outlook on the laptop, and point it to the .PST file on the desktop. Obviously the data will always be current when you're connected, but will not be available at all when you're on the road.

2. Replicating - copy the .pst file from the desktop to the laptop, set the personal folder service to point to the pst file on the laptop. Always available, but needs frequent updating.

Hope this helps (and works!)

I want something like #2; perhaps using the Windows briefcase to sync the .pst's?
