Hi

I have two pc's connected through hub at home.
PC1 running window2000 professional, FAT32 file systems.
PC2 running WindowXp professionnal, NTFS file systems.

Both are on same subnet, ie 255.255.255.0 and have workgroup
Both pc's can see each other, when I view them through window explorer.

I login on both PC's as administrator.
I can see PC1 and access all share files and folders on pc1 from PC2.

But when I try to access files and folders on PC2 from PC1,
I am having a problem. I am getting following error
// PC2 is not accessible
Logon failure: User account restriction

Please could you advice me and help me.

Many thank

would this work if my computer was plugged into a HUB and the other computer was plugged into a router, both going into the same modem...

Try enabling Simple File Sharing on the XP machine via Folder Options/ View and check your settings on the Sharing Tab for any shared folders so access and changing files is permitted.
