Hi, anyone can show me how to setup the sound card please.
After i reformat the system, install the driver for sound card but i don't know why it's still haven't got any sound.
Please show me up. Thanks....

In Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Device Manager

If the Sound card has a yellow circle with an apostrophe in it it proably has a conflict with either a I/O or IRQ. If you can remap the sound card to a free IRQ or I/O it should work.

We REALLY need more information:

Is it an PCI/ISA card or integrated into your motherboard?

What brand?

Have you checked, double checked, and checked again that your speakers are powered AND pulgged into the right spot on the sound card (most common problem)

If it's an integrated audio, you may have to enable it in the BIOS - when you are rebooting your computer hit DEL key and an odd looking screen comes up, look around the different menus (advanced, integrated peripherals or something?) and make sure that:

Com 2 is disabled
Assign IRQ for USB is only enabled if you have any USB devices
Sound is enabled, make sure it's checked for use in native Dos mode as well.

There is also the possibility in control panel sounds and multimedia the audio tab there are three drop down menus and these have to reference the sound card.Of course the other obvious one often overlooked is the speaker icon in the lower right of the taskbar make sure sound is not muted.
