I have setup the Route and Trunk port using COT, PAG, and WAT and each time I dial the number I get a fast busy tone. Here is the config for WAT

Check the TGAR on the phone your testing from. If its set to 1 you will get a busy. If thats the case I would remove the TARG 1 in the RDB.

Your Route has a TARG=1 so if your phone has a TGAR=1, then you will not be able to dial the Access Code.

If you solve that and still have trouble dialing subsequent digits, do this: Change "MANO" to "No" in the Route. Only do this if the first trick does not work.

Ooops, definitely do what lmman said. But I posted wrong about MANO... I said Mano=No but should have said Mano=Yes. Don't change MANO unless you cannot dial zone numbers.

I removed the TGAR so it now looks like this. I didn't change the "MANO" since there are no Zones. Connected straight to Paging AMP that requires 600ohm connection. Still getting the fast Busy tone.

In that case, it's one of two things:

TN 3-6 (3-0-0-6) is disabled.

or

The direct connection to the paging amp is holding the line "busy". You may need a matching transformer - most applications do.

You could try changing the TN of your trunk to DTN in the CLS. Other than that, I would suggest changing your ACOD to something other than 699, in case there is a conflict in your DN range.

What are you connecting to? A zone control unit, an amplifier, or directly to self amplified horns/speakers?

To keep you from building different types of routes over and over again for testing: if you are connecting directly to self amplified speakers or to an amplifier, then you would use a PAG route and trunk. If you are connecting to a zone control unit then you would use the WAT route and trunk.

Thank you for your posts so far.

I verified the TN is not disabled.

I Changed the CLS to DTN with no luck
I Changed ACOD to 78 and 2 with no luck

I will try a matching transformer. If I disconnect the line to the AMP should it then ring? becuase I get the same issue with the connection on the AMP or off.

If you remove the TN wiring from the amp, you should get dead silence after dialing the ACCD.

The on/off status of the amp won't stop it from holding the line.

telebub - I'm connecting straight to a Amplifier.

GHTROUT - I have tried both with the port connected to the AMP and without it connected to anything and I'm still getting a fast busy tone.

Disable and re-enable that TN.

Or disable, reseat the card, then re-enable if that card doesn't have anythong else on it that is important.

Just to make sure, you're simply dialing 699 and getting fast busy.

Are there any other trunks in that route? LD21 REQ LTM ROUT 45

Checked the CLS is the phone you're using? Any/all phones?

Try a new TN?

telebub - I disabled and renable the TN and Im still getting the fast busy tone. Currently unable to reseat card.

GHTROUT - I'm just dialing 699 nothing after or before. I have tried 78 and 2 as well. All of these were listed as unused. I have also tried 3 5.

I would be interested in knowing if you can dial _any_ Route Access Codes.

He posted above a CLS of CTD for the set. He should change it to UNR and try it.
