Hi all! Would really appreciate some guidance here. I've read alot of similar posts out there but I can't get around to making this work!!!

Ok here it is,

My config: MailScanBox (MailScanner + Sendmail on DMZ) -> Firewall/Router (NAT) -> Exchange2000 (Internal 192.168.0.*)

I need a configuration where MailScanner scans the mail it receives then have Sendmail relay that to the exchange machine. (don't require it the other way)

Problem1. I have mulitple domains that I need relaying to Exchange. eg1.com eg2.com -> exchange

Problem2. How do I get the relays working within Sendmail?
I know there is a Mailertable entry to configure.. but how do I accomodate for mulitple domains?

FYI have so far installed:
Mailscanner
Sendmail (default config)
Can telnet to sendmail via DMZ IP address

Would really appreciate if someone can put me on the right track. Cheers!

You need to define each of your domains in the relay-domains file. The add all aliases for your machine to the local-hosts-name file. Add localhost RELAY to your access file (you'll need to hash this flat file to access.db). Configure sendmail to listen on your network interface not localhost in the sendamil.mc(put dnl in front of DAEMON_OPTIONS(`port=smtp,Addr=::1, Name=MTA-v6, Family=inet6').You'll need to configure smart_host in the sendmail.mc (this tells sendmail where the mail goes). You'll have to recompile sendmail with the m4 preprocessor. Set up aliases/virtuser and you're done.
If you poke around in here you'll find everything you need. Get the Bat book (3rd Ed. is out) and check out . We are here to help but you need to do some of the work too.

Thanks Rhinokiller! Will be definitely putting your advice to good use. Sorry if I sounded like I've asked for too much :) Had been going through a few configs without much success.

Thanks for posting back!
