Is there a way to set up a mailbox so there is no greeting and it just goes to the beep?

I'm trying to set up a vector that plays all the announcements then drop the caller into Voice mail and just hear the beep so the customer can leave a message.

could you not just record a second of silence as the personal greeting ???

ACSS (SME)
ACIS (UC)

Tried that but the mailbox keeps saying nothing to approve.

There has to be a way in the Call Application set up I would think?

Yes, the caller application would help with this. With the scenario you are describing you might want to at least record the name on the mailbox, so that callers know they are in the right place.

I'm going to have their name in a announcement in the PBX and after that I just want to have it drop off into the Mailbox with just a beep.

Its a complex setup with multilingual languages.

just make some faint background noise for a second and it will think it is the name or greeting but it will still play the (at the tone) unless you send a # key
