Hi all, I am is newbe for MD110.
I have MD110 with TLU-44 as trunk connect to PSTN. How to seting in order to make a call from external (PSTN) direct to extension without must through the operator (DISA)?.
What the equipment must be add if needed?
Pls explain to me step by step.

Thanks

This is what you have to do;

1)initiate disa number

NANSI:NUMTYP=DI,NUMSE=5666;

2)assign day & night answering position for trunks

RODNI:ROU=X,TRU=X-XX,DAY=5666,NIG=5666;

3)change the value of parnum 184 to 3(authorization code
not needed for disa calls) for MD110 running on BC12.

4)initiate disa call by calling the actual pstn number assigned in rou=x from pstn line. You should hear dialtone
& be able to call any local extensions in MD.

goodluck.

Warning:

Pls setup the proper restrictions for disa calls other wise
the callers can call any numbers external , internal & long distance calls if not set properly.

Dear Rokane, thanks for your information, I'll try to setup it.

My MD110 running on BC9, how about authorization code? needed or not?, and what number of authorization code?
Thanks

Hello rampOk,

Authorization code is only needed if you want restrictions for disa users but if no restriction is required no need to
initiate authorization code. But incase you want to use it just follow this example.

AUCOI:AUTH=78922,CILCOD=245,CAT=9;

AUTH=ONE TO SEVEN DIGITS
CILCOD= UP TO 6 DIGITS or usually the extension number of the user.

for further info pls consult your Alex manual.

Hi Rokane,

Thanks for your info, but i don't have an Alex Manual. Now the problem is if I call from PSTN to MD110, the dial tone is OK, but I can't call to extension (busy tone). And how to seting the MD110 if I don't want to make authorization code?

thanks,
Ramp0k (doel)

rampOk,

Did you change the value of parnum 184 to 3? To do this you
have enter this command;

ASPAC:pARNUM=184,PARVAL=3;

To print what you entered is correct;

ASPAP:pARNUM=184;

Also make sure you are using DTMF telephone set when calling from PSTN. And if you do disa with authority
code, pls don't forget to program the CATTYP category code.

EXCCS:CAT=X,CATTYP=Y; Y=1 MINIMUM CATEGORY
Y=2 DEFAULT CATEGORY

rokane ,

is 2) really necessary . I have never user this and have used DISA quite alot.

2)assign day & night answering position for trunks

RODNI:ROU=X,TRU=X-XX,DAY=5666,NIG=5666;

Hi RampOk
Would you clear up one point is it Disa that you want or is it DDI? Disa means peole can dial in and then dial any extension or even dial out of your pabx. DDI means that a person can direct dial to an extension. On a Pabx that I look after I have 400+ DDI's but only 1 Disa circuit. and access (security) through that one is very tight.
Cheers Brian

Duvel ! witout RODNI:DAY=
you won't get recall to opi on a did call .

SYAR ! For DISA you don't need recall to OPI but for DDI sure you need it .I agree on that.
I was having the impression that the post was about DISA and not DDI. After all the post is called "How to setting DISA step by step?" .....

DUVEL! READ ALL THE ANSWERS .
I was not mentioning DDI as the first one .

Disa call , new dialtone , dial an extension .
Thats is kind of "DDI" (direct indialing with disa).
As for the way the operator handle this type of call.

DDI means reaching the extension without need to go
via the operator .
So one function of disa is DDI ,another function is
access to MD services as changing your personal profile list etc.

If the extension don't answer RODNI/ROCDI lets the call
goto OPI as unanswered did call .
Or if Authcode is used and wrong code is entered.

Earlier with TLP11 there was DDI (called two-step DDI )

Two step DDI can be used with TLP11 , but this
is not much used anymore since the function came as a aspac
instead of patch to disable auth code for disa calls
wich give the same functionality.

Ok , thanks !
I have never thought of DDI as a DISA feature.
Have a nice weekend !

Dear All,

Thanks for your attention. My DISA now is OK with the following command (from Rokane)

NANSI:NUMTYP=DI,NUMSE=5666;
RODNI:ROU=7,TRU=1-63,DAY=5666,NIG=5666;
ASPAC:pARNUM=184,PARVAL=3;

But now i am still confuse to seting the authority, example:

I have 2 trunk's of TLU-44, the setting by 2 Groups/routing, type is TLP11. 1'st group accessed by 85, other by 86. 85 is no restrictions from user (extentions) to out-going call, but the callers from out side only can call the extention numbers (this trunk is internal conncted to others PABX). And for 86 is connected to PSTN Line, so I want to make restriction this trunk for some user/extentions, and make authority code to make long-distance call.

Thanks,
Ramp0k

Hello RampOk,

You have to set the trunk with supervision in order to call
out using disa.You can change the route as this;

ROCAC:ROU=85,SIG=X111XXXXXXXX;

But take notes ,the trunk line might lock up after using disa if no proper supervision signal is received after predefined time set in ASPAC.

goodluck.

Dear Rokane,

Is possible the user (extension) to make a call from DISA (85) to PSTN Trunk (86)if not set authority?

yes it is possible, but the users have to access the outgoing trunks & call the PSTN number assigned as disa on your pabx. Also, if you setup aspac 184 = 3, there will be
no use for authorization code... you have to change it to 0,1 or 2 & setup the proper class of service.

regards,

rokane
